Should a teacher be strict or friendly with students?

A teacher should be strict inside their classroom so that students will follow their teacher and know the limitation between the students and teacher but outside their classroom after class it is okay to be friends with the students.

I think a teacher should try to comfort the student and reward the for good behavior. I think a teacher should make kids want to learn. On the other hand if the student is disobedient the teacher should be strict. If the student is refusing to learn then the teacher should make them learn in a way between strict and nice. But that's my opinion what's your opinion.

The teacher should have a balanced approach when it comes to being strict or friendly to the students. Students should know their limits. They should respect their teachers and teachers should know the difference being too strict and reasonably being strict. Being friendly to the students is a healthy way to build good relationship, earn trust , respect from the students.

For me, teachers should be friendly in a professional way. They can be strict at the same time friendly. Most of the students nowadays don't have respect with their teachers. Better to handle them in a proper way. I love friendly teachers, and I learned I lot from them. There were times they were strict and it depends on the situation.

I believe that teachers are to be good and friendly to their teachers. They should be approachable towards their students. They should be persons who students can count on. They are to help the students in their leaning processes.

A teacher must perform a delicate balancing act between being friendly and strict. While a teacher should be friendly enough to help students feel relaxed and make interaction easy, he/she should be strict enough to make students respect his/her place as a teacher. There should be clear boundaries between teacher and student.

A teacher should be strict inside their classroom so that students will follow their teacher and know the limitation between the students and teacher but outside their classroom after class it is okay to be friends with the students.
A teacher should be firm. They should not compromise with the learners. Teachers should be friendly though

Dealing with the child depends on his nature and acceptance of some educational methods, not all children like each other, some of them accept the guidance and advice provided to them, and some of them refuse without thinking, each child is treated individually, don't be friendly or strict all the time ,mix it up.

Teachers should have a professional relationship with students

Consequences and corrections should always be directed at the behavior never the person. The person must feel through
your walk and your talk and your silence that they are never judged.

It has to be balance just don't take so serious, at the end of the day its just part of your job, people are people you just have to understand them for sometimes.

When I was younger, I veered towards the friendly teacher types. Most of us probably had the same inclination. As I moved towards my college years, I was constantly looking for teachers who can provide substance rather than a free meal and a chat. I'm not saying friendly teachers have nothing to offer in the way of academic advancement. What I'm saying is people change, your environment changes, all the time. It's not a matter of being strict or being friendly but a matter of effectiveness, which by the way could pose as a challenge as it is a constant learning curve for both the teacher and the student. An effective teacher is good as his/her student and vice versa.

I think for teachers, strict and friendliness could do both. Teachers should maintain professionalism but at the same time friendliness to his or her students. There is a thin line between a teacher and a student that is why we must respect that. A teacher must not just educate his or her students with knowledge he or she needed to succeed in the future but also a teacher must teach the values and morals his or her students needed in order to be great individuals. Strictness can be applied to the studies but friendliness to the students can build up the values and morals.

A teacher should be authoritative but also friendly, it should know how to make the students get close of him/her because students will feel safe with a person who tries to understand and help them in their problems.
