There are places that allow you to take a final test to obtain a certificate. Either way even if you don't get a certificate it will help you if you decide to take the course in a classroom.

It's all good and well remembering the names of the countries but it would be nice if they used a map and highlighted the countries as they went through them. This way they students would be able to localize the countries.

I most certainly agree, I think that the internet has done more good then bad, but unfortunately it's much easier to focus on the bad and ignore the good.

The problem is the method that they are being taught in school is different. A tutor is a good idea though as they will be teach in the same method the kids are learning in school.

That is certainly true, we are living in a very interesting era were you have access to images about practically anything. This is something we very often didn't have in the past. This should always be a determining factor when thinking about the content of what is being taught.

Nice anecdote and so true. People are naturally curious and children are more so. If you just hold something up and don't let children experiment with it, they will quickly get bored and not really get any benefit from it.
