All Ages What is the easiest instrument kids can learn to play?

I think the easiest musical instrument kids can play is the musical instrument that they love. Kids are genius, they can do whatever they want to do. Some kids can learn how to play, guitar, piano, drums, flute, violin at an early age. So, my conclusion is taught them how to play the musical instrument they love and they can learn them easily. My nephew is now 3 years old and he improves a lot in playing drums. He starts playing drums at the age of 1.

My school has a school band. The rate at which the new band members learn to play an instrument is closely related to interest, choice and individual differences.Thre is no single instrument that can be tagged either hard or easy to play. Pupils love to explore and discover.

Any child can learn any instrument they have interest in. You might be surprised to see some kids who really have a strong passion for instruments like the saxophone playing it perfectly. It's all about the passion. To me I feel the piano is quite easy for every child to learn.

I suggest ukelele or recorders because it's easy and also new to learners. If your learners are fast learners then you could easily teach them those instruments.

I think drums is an easy to learn instrument for a child. It should be a simple version though because in the latter part of learning drums is not an easy instrument to master. Sure it does look easy to just tap ang hit but there is a technical side behind it. Aside from that no matter how hard to learn an instrument is, if you like what you are doing, nothing is difficult to do.

The guitar instruments are not that cheap but lessons are, I would choose the guitar for my older son and maybe I would find a student to teach him how to play for the start, later I would take him a professional teacher.

Blowing s instrument would be the best like clarinet, flute etc. These instrument are a lot easy to play and can be learn in just a month depending on the child. Piano are also nice but this can be costly. I also recommend guitars specially for kids 10 of age and above. Guitars are one of the best instrument bust also one of the hardest to play.

I suggest, ask them what they like. It's more effective when it's from the child's decision or likes. When I was young, I was amazed at how some students who were older than me can play flute. So, I decided to observe them and listen to the notes while they were playing. Thankfully, when I tried it and when I finally had my own flute, learning it was so easy. My point is, support what your child likes, it will really boost their confidence.

I believe it all depends on children's preferences, so if they like something they will have less problem learning it than something else that objectively may be easier. My kid is taking piano lessons and even though it is not an easy instrument to master, he's doing really great because he loves it.

Maybe the first thing you need to do is to identify what kind of musical instruments are available or accessible for you. Then expose them to the people play instruments and you will see that they will be delighted to play the instruments they prefer.

It certainly depends on the child's interest but for starters, I think piano or xylophone would be a great choice. You just can let them explore later on various instruments depending on their musicality and interest.

I guess the easiest instrument that a kid can play is the flute, it is very easy to understand and to learn the cords of it. All you need is to blow then cover the hole that must be covered based on the cords. And it also sound so good and relaxing and when I was a kid, my friend is a very amazed of me because I am the only one among all of us who can play flute.

I remember when I was young, the first instrument I ever laid my hands on was the xylophone. From then on, my love for music grew, and I eventually transitioned to playing the lyre, then finally, the piano. Looking back, I think the xylophone is one of the easiest instruments to learn, the notes are laid out straightforwardly and you just need to hit the xylophone bars/tiles with a beater. It doesn't require much dexterity, that's what makes it ideal for children.

Well, when I was young I've played harmonica for two years, because I was late for signing up for flute that year. It went really good, but I didn't like that instrument, so I stopped with practice.

The next year there was an open space, so I played flute after that. I liked flute, and it was good for my voice.

After I finished flute, I went on solo singing, and I played piano, as a part of singing classes. Personally, piano is the most emotional, beautiful and sensitive instrument, I really love piano. I was also good at playing piano, but I didn't have one at home, so I didn't practice.

All of this being told, I want you to know that if you want those kids only to have fun you can choose whatever instrument you want. There is xylophone for example, it's easy to learn. But, if you want them to start learning and to keep playing for a longer time, there can't be only one instrument. If it works for the two of the children, for the two of them it won't.

Maybe you could get just a few different instruments and then see which fits to different child. Whatever you choose, good luck.
