Watching late night tv show

There are popular late night shows on tv here that some students lack sleep because they watch the show. That is one topic in the campus so they feel like an outcast in the conversation if they have not watched the said late night show. Teachers are having a hard time in telling the students to sleep early so they will not be drowsy in the classroom but to no avail. Maybe there should be a communication with the parents because it is only the parents who can make their children sleep early.

Yes, that is very true, children and especially the teenagers do feel the pressure of remaining updated about the different programmes on the Television. They do stay awake at night for the late hours and this does obviously have an effect the next day.The best solution in this regard is to speak to the parents, if a student is repeatedly doing it and tell them to compel there children to sleep early at night.

The problem of students staying up late needs to be solved at home. As teachers we don't have much saying in what happens in our students' homes and it is unlikely that we can influence their family habits, and setting the time for bed is definitely one of those. Parents or caretakers are responsible for this and the thing we can do as teachers is to inform them on the bad aspects of going to bed late regarding their physical and mental development, especially for students who are still growing up.

I totally understand why people like late night TV shows, coming back to home after a long tiring day in work or collegue , relaxing and enjoying some tv shows is a great way to destress and enjoy life , yet it may turn the situation to a whole mess especially when proplr become addictive or when children ignore their home works , studies and rest-time in order so stay late and watch what they want to watch , nothing good comes from that because they will not sleep enough time , they will be so tired at school tomorrow and won' be able to focus or perform correctly , it is a serious issue and i believe that the parents must interfere and pay more attention to their children's behaviour.
Late night TV shows might even harm adults who binge watch series all night , that will definitely reduce their productivity , causing them problems in work, health or even social life.

Generally speaking, I watch late night show only in the weekends or only when I do not have to go to work the next day. In the weekdays, I avoid watching latre night show because I have to wake up early in the morning, do the chores and rush to my school. I will have waking trouble when I watch late night show. Even if I manage to wake up, I will not feel fresh the enture day because of sleep deprivation.

Students watching late night shows a lack of disciplining on the part of parents. Rules and limits need to be set at home, it is impossible for teachers to do much in this area. The best they can do is advise student to go to bed early. Lack of sleep disrupts activities and proper brain function. Children need longer hours of sleep than adults. its important for their heath and well being.

I understand the feeling of this students who watched late night show. In my personal experience, I too watched it and sometimes it really affects the other day works. Students sometimes find things that are entertaining and relaxing, where stress from school could possibly be lessen. But the problem can be solved by proper communication between the parenta and the children. Much better if parents should talk to their children about their concerns and problems. Because some times, children come to watch tv just to alleviate the longing for their parents.

I am a student, and it's very stressful to stay at school the whole day doing projects and group study. My way of releasing stress is to watch late night shows every Friday and Saturday night. Its better than partying.

It is very difficult for teachers to make the students concentrate on their school tasks if they are sleep - deprived due to watching late night TV shows or playing computer games . It will be up to the parents or guardians to discipline their child and arrange a schedule in which the child could enjoy their hobbies and at the same time get enough sleep. Even how adept the millennials are in multitasking , sleeping and watching at the same time is next to impossible to do.

There is a newspaper columnist here who said that students are now more on the mobile games than tv. Maybe I can agree to that because I can see in social media the posting of the game scores that I think was automatic for the app or the website. The watching of tv is easy to control but I don't think students who are addicted to mobile games can be controlled that easily.

These is causing many students not to be concentrated during the class or to be sleepy during the class. I think that the parents should tell their children that these is a bad habit to have during their school days. Also, sleeping is very important for health, not only for concentration.

If they are in high school or college, I wouldn't have any issues with it but for those younger, then something should be done about it. Parents should check on their children to avoid this from happening. They are the ones who live with their child and must ensure that their children are sleeping on time.

I am of the mindset that students need between 7-8 hours of sleep per night to feel energetic and awake the next day and as follows to perform well in the school. If learners do not get enough sleep that will effect not only their performance in the classrooms, but their health status as well.

Though it's very tempting to watch TV shows late at night, it is not advisable to students. It will definitely affect them in many ways. They might become sleepy during class hours, lose their focus and many more.

Yup you are right about that and I agree with you. Regardless of what TV show they are watching, unless if it badly affects the sleeping pattern of a student then parents should make a way to make to let their children understand the importance of sleeping. I mean there would be no exception to this because, anyone who tends to sleep late for any reason would really be sleepy and lazy the next day and less energetic. Sleeping for 8 hours a day is still required and really important to our body and overall health regardless of age and profession.

Watching late night show are very common now a days, unlike before, children go to bed early when their parents told them so. Today younger generations are lot different before. All things have their own advantage and disadvantage. What we need is to control in order for us not to degrade our health.

Late night movie watching on TV should be a no-gone to students. Why should they sleep in class at the benefit of late night movie watching? We should not encourage this as parents. Also too much TV watching is not good.

years ago I am fond of watching television, that was even before internet was a thing. I enjoyed different kinds of shows from news to sitcoms. I often watch too much and stayed till late night watching. but nowadays I don't watch in television any more, I rarely even go and watch any shows but I still was through computers because I can watch anything I want whatever time I want whenever I want. it is so much efficient and easy. plus I get the chance to pause it whenever I want.

Unfortunately, it is very difficult for me to watch anything on TV late night because I usually fall asleep whenever I am seeing the TV by that time.

I try as much as possible to watch anything between 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. because once it is past 10:00 p.m., I can no longer be able to stay awake and watch anything.
