Smoking inside the classroom

I don't think it is a good idea giving students permission to smoke during classes.That activity is not appropriate neither towards the teacher, neither towards fellow students, who don't want or don't like to smoke.There are many other ways for students to get concentration during classes.Anyway, students can smoke in dedicated smoking areas, but not in classrooms.
 
Smoking inside the classroom: I strongly against smoking even before I hate those people who smoke specially those who smoke in public places how much more if inside the classroom for me it was a selfish act of intertaining your self because you do harm not only yourself but also those people around you. I can't imagine if it is still allow now in school, I think it is impossible to happen now.
 
When I was in school, smoking was grounds for expulsion. Personally, I believe that punishment was too great for the offence but I do not believe students should smoke or be given permission to smoke on school grounds (or anywhere for that matter). Apart from the effect smoking has on the body, I do not think the stench of cigarette is a good fashion statement. Students should be educated properly on the effects of smoking on the health and should be discouraged from picking up the habit.
 
Smoking inside the classroom is a big no no for me! Students should know and understand that smoking is dangerously bad for our health, they should know it at the very young age to keep it to their mind until they grow old.
 
It's a big no no of course! Apparently smoking is bad not just to the user but to people around who inhaled the smoke, that is what we called as the secondhand smoke. So it should really be prohibited in all public places and other places frequented by minors (included the school of course) especially that minors are still very impulsive and very prone to vices because of peer pressure and other factors, and to include that tobacco products are addictive as well.
 
It should be absolutely banned, no exception. We are already aware of the dangerous side of smoking like it can cause cancer, stroke and heart disease.
 
I'm sure there are laws about smoking in public places. Honestly, I don't think it's proper to smoke in class. Not only is it improper but it poses serious health risks to non smokers. As we all know the negative effects of secondhand smoking is severe. It's not right to put other people and have them be exposed to that danger.
 
Those were different times though. In the 70s and before, smoking tended to be allowed in many public places, such as office buildings, shopping malls, airplanes and so on, so it's not too surprising that it would have been allowd in a classroom. Obviously, smoking in class isn't allowed today and I don't see it as being permitted again.

The reason is to give the students the freedom to seek concentration because smoking helps in that department. Maybe the society was very permissive in those days but I still cannot imagine that it can happen today and that it happened in those years. By the way, some of the college professors were also smoking while teaching.

Smoking inside the classroom is something unheard. I have never seen a student smoking inside the classroom when the lecture is on till now. A teacher smoking inside the classroom is completely out of question. i would say that the teacher would be removed fron the job if he is caught smoking during the class in the school or college.
 
Believe it or not, one of my older colleagues, my ex professor, smokes every single day in a classroom! Everyone at the college knows her because of this. She is kind of notorious because of smoking in a classroom. Some students find it funny while others are not so happy because she smokes. But I guess that old habits die hard.

Gee, that is really one heck of a deed for a teacher. I wonder why the students do not complain. I don't think it is a valid reason to say that old habits die hard because smoking is not just an old habit but a bad habit especially now that there are studies pointing to the second hand smoke as the cause of lung cancer. Maybe that teacher should teach herself a lesson on how to quit smoking or at least not to smoke inside the classroom.
 
Smoking inside the classroom is never been a good idea because it can trigger some students to have some illness brought about by smoking. I think that it is very rare to see some schools who are allowing such an activity and I am sure that no one will ever tolerate it because of the harmful effects that it can give to everyone not just on the students but as well as on the teachers.
 
Smoking inside the classroom, whether by the teacher or the students is an absurd idea! For teachers to smoke in class, this is a very bad example to the students. It would influence them to do the same since, after all, their teacher is doing the same thing. For students to smoke in class is a very bad thing since they will be exposed to the dangerous chemicals found in tobacco products at such a young age. Also, for students who do not smoke but stay in the same classroom as those who smoke will end up being detrimental to their health. There have been studies that show that secondhand smoke is dangerous to one's health too.
 
It is an unbelievable scenario for a student or a teacher to smoke inside a classroom because they that it automatically validates the school rules and it is a sign of disrespect to do so to the fellow people who do not smoke inside the classroom. it is not even allowed to bring a cigarette to school, the school strictly prohibits anyone from smoking. It should be done outside school premises, it's basically unhealthy to smoke and is hazardous which cause pollution to the environment
 
It is really a must to avoid smoking as much as possible because we are affecting the health of other people. We cannot deny the fact that smoking is very dangerous to our health and we should do something about it. As early as now we must refrain from having it before it is too late.
 
Cigarette is an example of a gateway drug. Allowing it to be used on school campuses would be hypocritical as school should teach students to stay away from this kind of doings and why these kind of things are bad for us and the people around us. Also imagine you are studying in a closed classroom when suddenly you inhaled a cigarette smoke from your classmate, that would drift your attention away.
 
Smoking of cigarettes is really disturbing and can easily catch our attention in class aside from being dangerous of it to our health. I have encountered before that some of my classmates are smoking some cigarettes outside our classroom but still the smoke is going through in our classroom which is really annoying.
 
I personally doesn't like the smell of cigarettes. I get irritated and sneezes as an allergic reaction. I hate it a lot especially irresponsible smoker on public transport vehicle. I wish to throw them outside the vehicle. ( Ha.Ha.Ha.) I hope one day the cigarettes will be totally ban for people health safety.
 
Sometimes, student's smoke inside of the campus or school if the teacher is gone. But for me that's prohibited!
