The public schools are essentially the ones that are owned and controlled by the government. When it comes to schooling, would you like going or putting your wards in public or private schools?
I would prefer the standard private school to public school. Government owned schools tend to have be populated, hence little individual attention is given to the students. Private schools are not usually populated but are more effective.

Both public and private schools have their own advantages and disadvantages. Public schools are funded by the government and therefore often have larger class sizes, while private schools usually have smaller class sizes and more resources. Public schools are more diverse in terms of student population, while private schools may offer a more specialised curriculum or focus.

Just like Alex Bizdustry mentioned, there is no big deal with going to the public schools as long as one understood the reason for doing so. The school is a good place to go and learn and as long as there are qualified teachers there, I am all good.
