Pencil: I'm sorry....

Eraser: For what? You didn't do anything wrong.

Pencil: I'm sorry cos you get hurt bcos of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you're always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.

Eraser: That's true. But I don't really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I'll be gone and you'll replace me with a new one, I'm actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad.

I think this would make a great children's picture book.

In real life, those people who have loved ones willing to be their 'erasers' are so lucky. People who are eraser type are people who can love unconditionally and willing to give their time and talents for others. This is a very touching story. [FLOATRIGHT][/FLOATRIGHT]

What a happy world we'll have if we all possess the boldness of the pencil eraser - the willingness to sacrifice and the ability to forgive. That was so nice.

Very well said....and if this point was included I think that yes, it would make a great children's book! We need more books that relay messages of good moral value.

I agree with what you are all saying about it making a great children's book. It'd teach kids that it's OK to make mistakes but that we also need to realize that when we make them we can hurt or affect others around us.

At first, I was thinking that this was kind of silly, but then it started to sink in and I realized what it was saying. Truly touching and inspiring. This reminds me of parents in general, because when the kids make a mistake, the parents have to clean up after them.

The eraser is like the mother who would sacrifice herself to correct her children's behavior. It's a really inspiring story. A story of sacrifice without asking for a reward.

Sometimes the simplest tales can convey a complex meaning, and this is one of them. Yes, it would make a great story book for children, but it's also a lesson many adults could do with learning, although those who need to learn it would probably miss the significance of the story.

I think I had read that already and it was true that it have a good meaning.
It could be about people who loves and cares truly and they do not expect anything in return for all the help they would give. It was a nicer world to have more people like that. :D

It's a short conversation between the Pencil and the Eraser but you would be really touched by it. This would be a good read for children and it will teach them to be a good person when they grow up. Along their way, they would know how to sacrifice for others and don't need to ask anything in return.

This is a life story telling that there are some out there who always have your back no matter what the circumstances are. People have a true heart for others and want to see others make it good in living.
