All Ages I hate memorizing dates

History would have been a pretty interesting subject for me from grade school to college if it were not for the dates. Yes, I can memorize the events that have transpired, but I can't memorize every single date that is recorded in the books! The horrible thing is, our teachers and instructors loved to give exams that deal with dates! Arrgh! Anybody else who's allergic to historical dates?
I loved history. I not only memorized dates but the whole story.

"Vladimir Ilch Ulyanov, better known as Lenin was born in 1871. As a young man, he studied to become a doctor......"

I am definitely agree to this, I hate it because I always have a hard time memorizing dates but as my professor told us, we must love what we are doing for us not to get a problem with it, because if we keep on thinking that it is hard and we hate them, our brain will continue to push them away and not memorize those. So we must love what we are doing.

Not just dates for me, I equally find it difficult keeping numbers to memory; dates, age, phone number and the rest of them.

Don't know if its a problem with me. I I usually don't have a hard time remembering events and happenings, facts and occurances; but when figures comes into play, I have a hard time.
