For those of you who have studied multiple languages, what language would you put at the top in terms of your favorite and most fun?

No two thoughts about this one OP, it's going to be Spanish for me. Number one choice, and also my only choice right now. I don't know if in the future I'll ever have a change of mind, but I really don't see that happening.

I would probably say Spanish. It was fun and exciting plus the script was easy to follow (duh!). I would say Hindi was pretty hard though because of the script and the pronunciation bit.

I can see that Cookiesandcreamshake is with me on this one. How come we have the same preference; well maybe it's because Spanish is a sweet, sexy and romantic language. Now, Cookiesandcreamshake, it seems I can call you Muchacha.....!

Yeah I like Spanish too. I would say that it was the easiest and more interesting language to learn.

I don't know about it being the easiest language to learn but I'm quite sure it is interesting. Our ability to learn different languages depend on us as individuals and not about the simplicity of the language, it might sound easy, but can be difficult to learn.

Well it was easy for me because there are a lot of words in Spanish that sounded similar to English words. But I agree that the difficulty of learning the language depends on the individual.

Mandarin would be No 1 on my list in terms of how fun it can be. With more than 15,000 chinese characters there's a lot of wordplay that you can go for if you are creative. In terms of usefulness though, I would put English as the first on my list. It's just......well, pretty useful to say the least :p

Spanish is my favorite language to learn because I feel so sassy when I speak it. And the sass is part of my motivation to continue to learn the language and immerse myself in the culture.

For me, it's German. While I was learning German I had always felt good. It sounded perfect for me. The phonetics was just right. Of course, that was also partially because of the excellent teachers I'd had, but German was one language which I could identify with. Germanic languages are somehow special for me, and I wish I had had a chance of studying Old English or Norse. That would have fulfilled me as a person, I believe. I really like the history and somehow German keeps me connected to it, in a way.

Well, I've only mastered two languages, my country's language and English. I am learning Korean now but I'm still a long way before I can master it. I would definitely say it is fun and enjoyable. I started just by watching Korean series and movies, from there, I learned a few words and phrases already. I then moved to online resources and some apps which help me learn the Korean language. So far, so good, I'm taking my time in learning this language.

Well, my mother language is English. I'm rather invested in polishing my English and maintaining my silver tongue, albeit I'm living in Japan. Yet, I've studied Spanish and Italian in intermediate school, French and Japanese in high school, and Japanese in college. Now, my passions for language learning have sent me to Japan, where I'm actively trying to increase my fluency. Learning Japanese has been the most challenging and rewarding of any language I've come across. I simply love it.

I would love to learn French. It is fascinating judging by the way some words are pronounced. You find some syllables being completely silent and some other normal looking words but with completely different pronounciations. French is also considered a posh language.

For me it's either Arabic or Japanese. I want to learn Arabic because I know it'll give a lot of benefit to me in the future. Also I want to learn Japanese because I watch a lot of Anime :p. It'll probably be easier for me to watch it and read the manga without having to wait for translations.

I haven't mastered it yet, and I'm still in the process of studying it, but Korean has been an absolute joy to study so far. Hangul has a very rigid system so it's very easy to learn the basic Korean alphabet. It's a super easy starting point that is very appealing to those who are scared of potential difficulties in alternative alphabets. I've also developed an interest in Korean culture so that has compounded on my love for studying the language. :)

Well, out of all the foreign languages that are commonly coveted one would say an african should be interested in french as some african countries have it as their lingua franca. But I find my case to be different as I prefer spanish above french. Why I love spanish please, do not ask me because actually,I can't say for myself. For me spanish is on top of my list.

I haven't learned another foreign language yet but I'm very interested in learning Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin and Korean languages. I have been exposed to some Mandarin, Korean and Japanese but my knowledge about these languages are very limited to the very basic ones.

Well I do not have a list of languages that I know which I can pick from as my favorite, so I will go with a hypothetical and imagine I had the chance to learn one. In that case, I would have to say that Chinese would be my first choice. I choose that because it would be more interesting to me and I would like the interactions more, at least I am assuming so.

The language that I really wanna learn is the Japanese language, we called it nihongo. Because Japanese sound good whenever they speak and also it is my dream to live in japan, because it looks like they are so organized and respectful, I also love their weather. I am hoping that when I finish college I will enroll into a Japanese language school here in my country.

I love studying Korean! My interest on the language started when I watched Korean television shows and movies and listened to Korean music. I think it's a very beautiful language. The Korean alphabet, Hangul, is also easy to learn unlike other East Asian languages such as Chinese and Japanese. I've always enjoyed studying a new language - I also tried learning Mandarin, Japanese, and French on my own before, but it really takes dedication and hard work! I wasn't able to get past the basics then as I was self-studying, but with Korean, I committed to really advancing my skills - fortunately it seems my hard work is coming to fruition. I envy kids and babies who can learn multiple languages effortlessly!
