All Ages Did religious education change your outlook on life?

Yes, we're raised in a semi-religious environment. We can see what the society has become without religion, without morals. Our civilizations were built by religious dogmas.

No junk food and soda in school canteen

Yeah, I think that school shouldn't interfere into private life of students. I used to think schools forbid certain foods because they don't want to have a messy classroom, but now I understand it's because they want to dictate their own rules. I will not tolerate it.

English How many languages do you speak?

I know 6 languages, of which I can fluently speak 4. My native language is Ossetian, and I can speak fluently Russian, English and Hebrew. I know the basics of Ukrainian and Spanish. As Bravosi above wrote, more languages = more power. You adapt really fast to the environment.

All Ages What do you believe?

In our native Ossetian pagan faith, adæmon din, God has created the world and humans, but God doesn't has a direct impact on the life. That's why he made humans, but imperfect, with an ability to become PERFECT. That's the most important thing. To become better people.

All Ages What do you think is the reason for our existence?

To be the best humans out there, to evolve, and to improve our society and ourselves. But sadly, nowadays, people seem to be going to the other direction. Technology is great and I'm grateful, but it's currently abused by many people.

Is your country under the Kto12 program?

Lucky for us, no. We have 9 years of mandatory school, and 2 years extra (unless you go to college). I'm all for homeschooling, because schools are inefficient nowadays.

Do you agree that teaching children by giving them an activity like games is effective?

Most precisely! Games are a fun way to memorize something and also very entertaining. Let's be honest, people learn stuff when either they want to or when it happens to be fun.

Ages 11-16+ [Secondary] Boxing as a youth sport?

It's good, as long as supervised properly. Kadyrov was hosting MMA fights, so I don't see why boxing is bad. Kids must learn how to be men, and how to protect themselves. I hope it won't get abused though by some.

    Book recommendations?

Captive Universe by Garry Garryson. It's a great book by a great author. The best thing is the twist. Nothing is at it seems. I think it's quite friendly to all ages, with the exception of very young kids.

Group Assignments: Friend groups or Assigned groups?

I think both of these have advantages and disadvantages, so it really depends on the person and individual. On one hand, doing tasks in groups of friends is a lot more fun and comfortable, but on the other hand, they might not focus on the given task. Doing tasks in assigned groups of different...

Do you agree that teaching children by giving them an activity like games is effective?

Yes, very! I was having a hard time teaching my daughter basic math (arithmetics), because she wouldn't focus. I installed an amazing game on the iPad calls Math VS Zombies. She solves math questions to destroy the zombies, both of us are happy that way haha!

    Limits on math content

I think that apart from arithmetics nothing else should be mandatory. Arithmetics is something you encounter on a daily basis, while other forms of math are exclussive to certain professions and hobbies. Personally I never use anything apart from that.

    Game Cards

Although there are other ways to learn it, I think gamecards is a very good idea. I remember that's how our teacher 15 years ago used to engage us into all sorts of activities and knowledge.

The value of the mother tongue

In our language we call our native tongue: madalon avzag, meaning language of mothers. There's a reason for it. Because the child when he is until aged 6, according to our customs and traditions, is raised with his mother, only then he heads out to do manly things with his father (if it's a boy...

Motivating children with special educational needs

To be honest with you, I agree with you to some degree. Though I think our educational system must be revoked into the previous state it was in. What I mean is that kids with special educational needs would have to study what they like, and not what they are told. I think this should be a common...

    Cheers to a new beginning

Hi there! Nice to meet you! I teach kids (aged 6-12) English and Hebrew, and even though our age frame is completely different, I'm sure you and I will get along. I used to teach basic stuff, and even literature.

    All Ages Music

I wouldn't say so in regard to every music. Some genres are on the contary giving you a bad effect, especially if it's something like Miley Cyrus pop or Lady Gaga. Listen to classical music, it makes you feel like part of some aristocracy by making you feel more noble and enlightened. :)

All Ages What is the easiest instrument kids can learn to play?

I believe kids like to play on drums, and it's easy to learn how. Drums are fun and create an amazing beat, if you ask me. Myself, when I was growing up I used to play on piano, but it was hard and I had a tutor. Drums is basically something common.

All Ages What musical instrument do you want to learn

I would like to learn violin as well, it's a very suitable and elegant instrument for a woman, especially in our culture. Did you by the way knew, that the first woman to succeed asconductor of symphony orchestras in the 20th century was an Ossetian like myself? Veronika Dudarova.
