Do you mean do we think it’s going to happen? Well, I certainly hope not, but it also seems like humans are often incapable of sorting out differences of opinion without resorting to that. It’s quite sad to be honest.

I don’t know that it’s necessary. If you’re a school that promotes diversity and kindness then students who may be LGBT shouldn’t have a reason to worry. Kindness is key! Understanding others is important through all stages of life.

I also agree. I think that of course it’s important to encourage students to contribute to class discussions, but calling on students who don’t have their hands raised can be anxiety provoking! Create an environment where students want to raise their hands to answer!

It’s amazing how much a poor nights sleep can impact overall health, and when that’s a prolonged thing over a long time it’s even more pronounced. I wouldn’t be too happy if my students were staying up late on a regular basis to watch tv. It can really impact academic performance.

Our school has dance performances and they are definitely a way of getting students to band together to achieve something - an important life skill! It's also great for physical fitness which is something else we try to emphasize in the classroom.

Our schools had dances and in high school we had prom. It was something everyone looked forward to - an evening of fun and socializing. I don’t think they’re as common these days though for young people. Several schools in my district don’t even host those kinds of events at all.

I think it’s a great idea. I’m a big believer that you have to catch a child’s interest when it comes to igniting a passion for reading. If comics can open that door to a love of reading, I think that’s a really wonderful thing.
