Using personified alphabet

When teaching English and other languages, boredom can set in and this can result in students getting distracted and missing vital concepts in the technical aspects of grammar. I have discovered that using the alphabet attaching faces, limbs and other aspects of personification to letters can work wonders in breaking the monotony. For example, you can assign a head to the letter 't' and draw a chair under it to look like a sitting character.

That's interesting. I like that. I can see this working by giving those kids brain something of interest to hold on to while it absorbs the lesson being taught. I'll have to try it out my niece and see how she reacts, but I'd especially love to try it out on a child who most times may not seem very enthused about learning. Slow learners should make a good test group, as well as fast learners who get bored easily.

It is indeed a fun way of breaking the ice especially for young students who still have limited attention span. Boredom is also one big hindrance to learning so having a creative mind as a teacher is essential in maintaining your student's interest and attention to what you are teaching.
