All Ages The 4 New Elements in the Periodic Table

So it has been official for quiet a few months now, we have 4 new elements in our periodic table. There's Nihonium (Nh), Moscovium (Mc), Tennessine (Ts), and Oganesson (Og).

I'm actually happy to learn about them and it's also good news for me because it has been a very long time since the table of elements has been updated. I remember memorizing the elements in the periodic table back when I was still a student and I just can't wait for the time when my son comes home talking about the 4 new elements which of course are still strangers to many.

The discovery of the 4 new elements just goes to show that Science will keep on discovering and evolving through time and lucky are those who get to witness new innovations in their lifetime. :)

This is an interesting development since the last new elements of the periodic table were artificially synthesised. Chemistry was my favourite subject in high school because of its abstract and spontaneous nature especially when dealing with complex compounds in organic chemistry is fascinating. Students should be motivated by being told that they are the next in line to advance developments in science and technology by making them aware of daily applications of the same in life.

True indeed remnant. This latest development in the world of Chemistry could serve as an inspiration to our future generation. Who knows if one or more among the students of today would be the next Science wiz who will soon discover other elements or invent the next big innovation in Science.

This just shows that chemistry is always evolving. I really did like chemistry when I was in school it has helped me in my later life understanding what is around me. It's more difficult to learn it when you leave school.

I actually still have a vivid memory of missing one question on a Chemistry exam in school because I thought that there was no way there was an element called Californium. I guess I will still stubborn in my early years, but since then I have never been quick to rule out whether or not it is an element or not, and it is exciting to see some new ones come along. It all makes sense know especially since I see the Tennessee one above. That might have helped me with Californium if there were some other states with theirs already, but oh well.

It's just so amazing right? I too couldn't help but be amazed at how the different branches of science keep on evolving as time goes by. I was actually waiting for the official release of the names of the 4 new elements when I first heard about them. :)

This is some interesting information, my chemistry professor was talking about them some months ago during our first classes, she did not really know which ones those were, but now I can finally see which ones those really were, thank you for sharing this information, I would not have known it if it was not for you, thanks a lot!

Alumno I'm happy to be able to share with you guys! :) I too got really excited even before the official names were released. It feels like witnessing a new birth take place in the world of chemistry. I'm really glad we get to belong in a generation where these 4 new elements have been added to the periodic table.

Who ever prints the periodic tables is going to make a fortune. All the old periodic tables will have to be replaced.
