Life skill you wished you learned in school

I can honestly say I was a diligent student and got good grades but somehow the academic world does not prepare you against the mundane but complicated scenarios in our so called life. How enlightening it would have been if I learned how to manage my credit card or change a flat tire.

That is true no matter how much you will learn in school time nothing will prepare us for the hard life we face now, I wish that school to teach kids what is humanity and to treat all the humans right and equally, maybe in this way there will not be so much hate and violence in the world.

It would have been nice if I learned how to organize and keep my room tidy in school. I'm having a hard time keeping my place clutter-free.

I wish I had learned new languages in school. Our school offered French and German and I wish I had learned both. As we get older, it becomes harder and harder to learn a new language.

Such a great topic, since so often I feel like schools tend to focus on "book smarts" rather than real world smarts!

For me I'd say I wish I'd learned more about finances, budgeting, filing taxes and things like that! I definitely think for a high school curriculum that kind of content would be incredibly helpful for students.

I've always been exposed to books and reading and studying since I was a kid and it certainly made me miss out on a lot on life. For one thing, I wished I learned more about the real world in school. I wish school taught me about how cook, I really don't know how. I also wanted to learn reading and writing in foreign languages.

I envy students nowadays because they learned skills on their own or though researching from the Internet . They are so knowledgeable about technology to the point that they can sell their works and even taught technology - related skills to their own teachers or people much older than them . Education nowadays emphasized the importance of students exploring and learning on their own . How I wish that education during my time is like what we have today . Instead of gauging the students on how much they know about the content , we could have been assessed based on how we were able to apply what we have learned in real -life situations.

I wish I'd have gained Interior-Design skills. Have you ever seen professionals or talented individuals who are good at this? The organize and renovate places/houses to incredible versions. Their output work are way wonderful and amazing. I've always wished to be and Interior designer ''in another world'' haha.
If I would have learned this, I wouldn't call anyone to fix or renovate my house whenever I want.
I was even thinking to take an online course on Interior Design. If anyone is passionate about something, then they are willing to take/do it -so when I'll get the time to, I'll surely take the course gladly.

A life skill that I wished they taught me at school was how to adapt to different stressful and tiring environments. Now that I am an adult, I mostly find myself constantly shifting in every situation that I land on. I hope they teach today's generation to be more resilient in these kinds of situations.

Most of us have spent more than a decade at school and it undoubtedly affects our personality and the way we live our lives.

It is important that teachers will teach based life skills since it is the time the character of a person is being developed. The two most important skills are emotional skills and self-control without these two skills we can't be successful in everything we do. It has to be taught consistently at all levels at school.
