Social Media has almost become a necessity these days. The use of Social Media is increasing a lot , particularly in students of different ages. Students are able to interact with each other and increase there knowledge regarding various subjects through different Social Media Platforms. They are also able to know about the carrier choice they can make through Social Media. However, there are also some drawbacks of using Social Media. Use of Social Media can often result in Wasting there valuable time. It also decreases the real Socializing and interaction amongst the students. Social Media is also misused to target vulnerable students. There is often unfiltered content available on Social Media which can be harmful to the students. What are your views in this regard? Is Social Media Good or Bad for the students? Should the use of Social Media be regulated?

There are always two sides of a coin. But, my take is, a student can survive without social media in the curriculum. There are other purposes of the internet and I'm sure the students can do things without opening their accounts.

I think it is good. Students have taken to social media as a platform for fun and entertainment along with sharing views, opinions, and learning about what's going on in the world. Students are more informed and aware than before when watching news and reading newspaper sitting at home was the only source of information. With the mobility option, students learn on the go. One has to be very careful about how and when to use social media. Parents can use filter on the content and keep an eye on the students as and when required

Excessive use of social media is very detrimental to various aspects of the student's life. Socially, they won't get to interact with real people in the real world since they are really set on chatting and messaging their online friends. This could also impact their studies since they won't be able to focus on their homework because of the distractions caused by said social media.

It is very bad for students to use social media excessively. Too much of anything is bad for you, the same goes for social media. Social media could be the reason for students to not have a health and real social life because of the amount of time they are spending on messaging people who are not even near them. It could even be the reason why their performance at school declines because of the distraction caused by it.

It has a different benefits of it depends on how you will use your social media. It doesn't need to take all of your time to be updated with your sorroundings so that you wouldn't waste your time on it. Just know your limits and of you know you have something to do, just do it first before goinf through your social media so atleast you have done your tasks than wasting your time for using your social media.

I have to disagree at one point, social media interaction is still real interaction it just so happens that the person you're talking to isn't physically with you but that doesn't make it any less real. There are some people who communicate better through writing rather than through speech. And this could be their way of having social interactions. I've seen classes create FB groups for their section, their adviser would of course create this group and invite all the students in his/her class. It's a good way for them to still keep connection even outside of class, it's also a good way for the teacher to remind students of school events and activities.

My take on the social media regarding students is both good and bad. If social media is used for a noble purpose then I'd say it is good but if it is used for trolling or spreading lies to smear an enemy then you can see the negative aspect. Generally social media is created for connecting to people and students should be taught of that idea to use social media for the good and not for the bad intentions.

Artificial (illusionary) socializing as compared to real life socializing (reality) has brought drastic change to the real life of people, lack of real friends in real life actually make one to be regarded to as lonely.
People lack friend who could actually help them with real life situations, lend them money, tell them how to do some other things they don't know how to do??? .
Social media is regarded to be a place were people have an imaginary life , social media smiles while in reality a person doesn't even smile at all ,the personality of social media friends is like one having imaginary friend from a movie.
Truthfully speaking, there is a rise in the use of social media by students and it's very bad considering the time they spend interacting, students are supposed to be taught to socialize with their real life classmates, schoolmates and more, am pretty much sure not until a certain age can they be allowed to scroll on social media pages with certain amount of maturity and none negligence of their conscious.

It's a mixed bag. Anything in excess is bad, after all. Social media is said to be one of the main reasons why the younger generation are increasingly prone to depression and other mental illnesses. While facebook and other such social media sites make it easier for students to be connected and to receive information, they can also become a source of grief and bullying.

There's also the different ways that students can utilize social media, and unfortunately, it's very easy for students to get distracted by their social media feed.

Social media became a major part of people's life all over the globe.Students can easily keep in touch with their teacher via social media and solve their problems related to school assignments, if it is needed.Students can also collaborate with each other via social media platforms by sharing their knowledge, new ideas, concepts about specific materials. Therefore, using social media moderately can bring benefits for students in their learning process.

I think it is part of freedom of expression of the students. In a democratic country it is their privilege and opportunity to express themselves as human beings.

I think using social media platform should be use wisely. It is a way to express our freedom of expression but it should not be abused. A lot of children these days are very active in social media but not performing well in their studies. I think everything should be in moderation. It is always necessary to monitor our child's activity for their safety.

We can deny the fact that technology really helps us. Social media help us also to make our communication be more easier, using social media is good but people also think that if there is a good effect, there is also a bad effect. People should learn how to use social media wisely and in m oderation.

I believe that the use of social media is helpful for teachers and students. They can communicate even after class through the social media platform.

Interesting approach, in this regard I consider that with social networks the same thing happens as with any technological innovation, it has its positive aspects and its negative aspects, everything will depend on the use that is given to them, or the hands in which they fall, that is, for example in academic aspects it could represent an excellent means of interaction and exchange of information to share research results, clarify doubts, distribute assignments, etc. but if it is misused, it could be a source of distraction among other things.
