Importance of holidays and vacations for the students

Well, holidays are just not meant to give students a break in their routine classes. Some national holidays like National Heroes Day, or Independence Day, etc,. are occasions for the people to reminisce the significance of historical facts and the sacrifices symbolizing each holiday for the specific country that they belong to. That is, these holidays help to maintain unity in diversity, mutual tolerance, meaningful secularism, and peaceful coexistence through the observance of such days not just for students but also on a national level.

Holidays and Vacations are always beneficial for students as they can refresh their minds with new ideas and activities when they go back to school. It is important for students to spend their time with family and relatives in order to keep a balance between studies and social activities. When a student wakes up while on holidays he knows he can do whatever he wants and i think knowledge is not just limited to a classroom.

Everyone needs to rest. Everyone needs to reenergize their mind and body. Even motors, gadgets and machines need to be turn off once in a while to rest.

Holidays and vacations is the only time students take a break from school and school works. It's the only time for them to rest their mind and body. It's the only time for them to develop their other skills that are not taught in class or in school. It's the only time they can have a quality time together again with their family after a busy week at school. To be productive at school, students need to relax their minds once in a while and recharge when vacation time for them to be fully ready when they go to school again.

People might begin to hate me for this, but I don't really see what's the point in having holidays. After all, you will return to work again. You see a lot of people on their first day after holiday being exhausted, because they broke out of the habit of going to work 8 hours a day. The same is applied for students too. After holiday, the student broke out of the habit of waking up early and going to school, the students feel like going to school is exhausting, even painful (as some humorous students would say).

My point is, okay, holidays are necessary. I'm not saying they are not, what I am saying instead is that they should be kept short, so the habit doesn't break.

Yes holidays are important in students life as they offer a change in their day to day life and basically provide the refreshment to them so that they can do their further studies with more enthusiasm. The importance of holidays is from British period as they have introduced the 'Sunday' as public holiday. Holiday offers a break to everyone's task & not even students, everybody looks towards the holiday.

Holidays can be the "light at the end of the tunnel" sometimes. Something to look forward to as has been said above. The longer holidays (Christmas break, Summer break) those afford families to travel, visit distant relations, commit to "long form" activities one could not begin without ample time. There is more to life than work. The one or two days of re-adjustment after the hols is small price to pay.

Besides, do you really want to be known as the guy who spearheaded the shortened holiday?

If I had my way we would all be on the four day week. What is school or career without "quality of life"?

Holidays are important because, basically they provide a refeshment for students as well as people who work, people are given a chance to sort of like power up their self motivation, enthusiasm, courage , mindset and more towards something they have and will be subjected to over a long period of time.

agreed! We all need to refresh periodically so we can approach life with "new eyes"

I recently watched a documentary entitled "Working Ourselves To Death" that looked at the problem of higher performance demands on workers, longer working hours, shortened holiday requirements. They primarily looked at low wage manual workers for companies such as Amazon, but also the film industry which regularly requires 16-20 hour days. The cost in workers' health was devastating.

I don't care how achieved you are in school or career, you can't enjoy it, or even make use of it, if you're dead at 35

As they say all work and no play makes jack a dull boy. I totally support having a holiday after working over a period of time.

Everybody deserve to have a vacations after a tiring days. And for the students it is very important also to have them a happy life and doing recreational activities

Holidays are vital. People in general are prone to burnout if there aren't enough vacations or short breaks throughout the year. This results in poor performance and a growing disdain for whatever it is that the person is doing. This is especially true for students, who should be having a more diverse activities on their plate in order to promote rounded growth.

Children need time for themselves, to explore their own interests rather than standardized school curricula. Vacations are vital for their development.

Holidays are essential, as they say, "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." School holidays not only benefit students but will give the teachers ample time to recharge and breathe.

You're right with the burnout that it is not only the students who should be given a vacation but also the adults. I can imagine a hard-working student who is very diligent with his studies that he does his homework with quality and he studies his lessons at home even when there is no exam. It is either the student is a nerd or simply dedicated but a holiday is in order. Maybe that is one reason why the holiday season is extra special because all of us gets a short vacation which is a respite from our daily work.

It is really important to give a fellow student a holiday and vacation because it is the only time they are able to hang out with their families, to what they love to do and to let their mental state rest especially when school is mentally draining and we all know so, Without holidays or vacation students won't be able to concentrate and would be physically tired due to lack of sleep.

Even me I'm student, and I want holiday always for that purpose we can bonding together with my classmates

Everyone loves holidays and vacations. The children enjoy the vacations the most. Vacations do give the students the time to spend with there family and gives them a much needed break from there studies.Students do face a lot of tensions and stress regarding there studies and there academic performance.During the vacations they get the time to learn new things and rejuvenate themselves to face new challenges. There level of concentration and enthusiasm increases after the vacation time.
Holidays are good to freshen up. The only problem is that most children forget their studies during the holidays.

I think that vacation and holidays are important to every person not just for student. everybody needs holiday and vacation, as for students, some students are studying abroad or away from their families and holidays and vacation is the only way and time that they can spend some time with their family and rest, relax their minds from their busy study.

The importance of vacations and holidays for us the students is that it gives us a physical and mental rest, and also it gives us a time to spend with our family and friends to socialize. We should remember that we should spend our life on the things that makes us happy too not just studying for almost half of our life, because life is so short. And we only live once.
