English How many languages do you speak?

I speak two languages, which are Chinese and English. I also speak two dialogues in Chinese - Cantonese and Mandarin. I have found Cantonese is easier to learn than Mandarin because that's where I was born to speak. English, on the other hand, is also an easy language for me to learn perhaps I have learned it when I was young. How many languages do you speak?

My native tongue Filipino and my second language English are the two languages that I speak and understand though I know a little Korean, Arabic, French and Portuguese. I have learned English since I was in preschool and it has been my medium of language I use in both my professions as an English instructor and a professional writer.

I speak three. Only English fluently though. It keep me busy, haha.

My native tongue is English, but I speak intermediate Filipino.

I currently live in the Philippines, but I was born and raised in the States, so I'm not completely fluent in the language yet. I still stutter and I get pressured when I have to talk to a Filipino that isn't so good in English.

English, French and German. French, I took some classes for a few years but the teachers where not that interested in proper teaching so I ended up being mediocre at best. I can understand French well but I'm unable to talk properly. German I started learning on my own. Some time ago I found about Duolingo and decided to try it out, it's awesome! I still have a long road ahead of me but I can already understand basic phrases.

I speak four languages.English,Hindi,Tamil and German.I am taking an attraction towards the German language. It is arduous learning it but it is worth all the fun.I love the English language and can speak fluently too.
Of course Hindi and tamil are the local languages and so i need to be well versed to survive in here..:P

My native language is English. Although I began to learn Spanish I did not become fluent. Then we moved to West Africa and I began to learn Twi. However, soon after arriving we as a couple began to learn Ghana Sign Language. This had some similarities to American Sign Language, which I was not yet fluent in at that time. Next, we moved to South Africa and had to learn a new sign language. We began taking Zulu classes but it was not necessary to become fluent because the country spoke fluent English and we were working with the sign language field. Returning to the states, we began to learn American Sign Language. This enabled us to return to Africa. Only this time we had to learn the Malagasy language fluently for 3 years before we could begin learning Malagasy Sign Language. I consider myself fluent in Malagasy however, I am still a language learner. I also consider myself to be fluent in Malagasy Sign Language however, I have only lived in one region of the country and with a future move, regional changes may alter my feelings on the fluency with which we communicate. This remains to be seen. It has been said that once someone learns several languages, the rest come easier. I'm not sure if I have reached that level yet. But it is true that when you are put in an environment when you don't have comprehension by way of language communication, you find other ways to understand. I have become very good at reading body language and determining heightened emotion based on modulation, tone, facial expression, etc. One thing is for sure, to learn a new language one needs humility and determination. There is no need to make yourself feel better by picking apart the language and the culture. One needs to move forward in a positive fashion and commend progress no matter how small. The last thing to learn seems to be humor and yet, the human connection can be obtained before your first word is even learned with an ounce of respect and kindness.

I speak two languages: English and Spanish. My father is from Dominican Republic so growing up we heard Spanish and English in our home. However, since my siblings and I were born in the US we mostly spoke only Spanish to our relatives there. Also, I learned Mandarin and studied it as a youth but after not speaking it for several years I've lost most of it. Occasionally I recognize a word or remember a song. I do wish I knew another language but I feel like it's better to learn those things while you're young.

I'm Filipino so multilingual is very common in our country, I speak 2 languages fluently and 3 dialects of the Philippines,English and Tagalog is what I commonly use.

I speak two languages, Filipino and English both fluently. I also understand one local dialect. Being that I am a Filipino, I could also learn Spanish because most common words are derived from Spanish and both languages have a lot of similarity.

I speak Filipino, English and some of Japanese. I'm fluent in filipino since I'm a filipino. But I wouldn't disagree if you'll tell me that I use filipino language in a wrong way, I use Filipino with the incorrect usage of grammar. This is because even though you'll use this language in a wrong way you'll still be correct because most of the filipinos do not know what correct filipino grammar is. But when it comes to english speaking, people would react and bash you when your grammar is wrong. It's kind of sad because we, filipinos, know more how to use the english language rather than their own.
I learned simple japanese words from watching anime. Knowing different languages gives me great benefits and it's kind of fun.

I speak 3 languages, English, Ukrainian and Russian. I did try to learn Spanish once, but it didn't go too well, sadly. I hope that in the future I might learn another language. Because more languages = more power! I recommend everyone to be able to learn multiple languages, it's a good move.

I know 6 languages, of which I can fluently speak 4. My native language is Ossetian, and I can speak fluently Russian, English and Hebrew. I know the basics of Ukrainian and Spanish. As Bravosi above wrote, more languages = more power. You adapt really fast to the environment.

I speak my native language which is Filipino and the universal language English. I can also speak a bit of Korean and Chinese as well.

I'm very fluent in English language.
¿Como estas? is about the only thing I know in Spanish.
Ich kann einleitend Deutsch sprechen.
My native language is Asante Twi, one of the languages that Ghana in west Africa is known for.
I started learning Hausa and Ewe but the only sentence I can utter is a pick up line. Something my teacher thought would be a good motivator for learning the languages.

Yeah, Duolingo is what I've been using for my Spanish lessons too. I've taken a break from the app now cos I'm learning a new programming language and it takes most hours of my learning period. I hope to get back to it though

I think that I can only speak well on English and Tagalog languages because these are the languages that we are studying before in school. I find them to be great and very helpful because I can communicate well with other people since English language is a universal language that most people used all around the world. I would still love to learn other ;languages so that my learning ability could also be increased and not just limited to certain languages.
