It's carnival time again. Activities, games, lessons, hands-on fun — if you've written a blog post about math, we'd love to have you join our math blog carnival.

Posts must be relevant to students or teachers of school-level mathematics (that is, anything from preschool up through first-year calculus). Old posts are welcome, as long as they haven't been published in past editions of this carnival.

To submit an entry, fill out this form:

Don't procrastinate: The deadline for entries is this Saturday night! The carnival will be posted next week at Kids Math Teacher blog.

Would You Like to Host the Carnival?

Hosting the blog carnival can be a lot of work, but it's fun to "meet" new bloggers through their submissions. And there's a side-benefit: The carnival usually brings a nice little spike in traffic to your blog. If you think you'd like to join in the fun, read the instructions on our Math Teachers at Play page. Then leave a comment or email me to let me know which month you'd like to take.

Here's the funny part, which is that I haven't seen anyone blogging about Math. I haven't seen one website that talks about Math in general, which I guess it's a good idea to start talking about it. I do see there a lot of kids out there need more practice on Math because that's one of their weakest subjects in school. It's always good to include Math in the blogging industry so people would learn better, well, can be used as a learning tool too.

I think blogging about Math should be done in a practical way. It should be about how Math can be applied in day-to-day living in order for it to be useful. It should be done in a context that's applicable to children, so they can appreciate it.

I don't blog about math, but it's because math isn't a strong suit of mine. I think that a lot of people, especially those like me, who aren't strong in math and who have to help the kids do homework would benefit from subscribing to a math blog. It might give new ideas on how to help kids conceptualize some math problems or offer new ideas and perspectives on who to work certain problems.

I have never blogged about Math because Math was never something that interested me all that much. But i think if our are someone who is good in Math, then blogging about it and putting out helpful tips about solving different problems, could be very beneficial.

Yeah has not been great for me that much either. I can do simple math and even basic algebra. But anything beyond that is just too much for me.

It's a bit embarrassing to admit this but sometimes I use the calculator to check simple additions and subtractions, just in case. :P
This is how much I doubt myself with math. Haha

Hey don't feel too bad, I do that myself sometimes and I have a degree in maths. I personally think that mental maths is somewhat overrated. It's good to be able to calculate change or taxes in your head quickly, but really I think it is a lot more important that you understand how to do it if you need to, than to be able to do it at lightning speed.

Also, toward the main topic at hand. I don't blog about maths, but I do want to start writing more in general, and I do love maths a lot.
