
You do have a point there. If the child is not interested, it would be no point to having them engage in it as they would not give maximum effort towards the task.I don't believe it is necessary. I think PE should be something that students can take out of discretion. I personally hated PE when I was a student. Why would a student have to be forced to learn gymnastics, for example, if he/she does not have any interest towards it? It becomes a burden, more than a learning opportunity. Parents should enroll their children to sports classes which they are genuinely interested in, otherwise, it's a waste of time and money.
