I have a friend who enrolled her child in an elite school that has mostly children of wealthy families. It was a surprise to her that the students were given comic books for the reading exercise. My friend thought that it was preposterous or even outrageous because she had paid a high tuition fee only to give her child comics for reading. But later on she realized that the comics can greatly help in the pacing of the child's reading capability. Maybe the comics can be implemented in all schools.

I agree with comics being implemented in the school, specifically on the library. Comics bring out creativity and excitement to readers. However, the comics should be moderated and the contents should be reviewed. I believe it will be good if the comics are limited to fairy tale comics, cartoon characters like Peanuts, and Manga Messiah (bible comic). With regards to fairy tale type of comic, I still prefer the classic ones like Little red riding hood, Peter pan, Little mermaid, etc.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Words with pictures on them are much easier to understand than just word or just pictures, which is why comics are a great way to teach kids various topics like literature and health.

Light comics is a great introductions for the children to reading, start by showing them books with picture for them to realize that it's not boring, and it's an engaging way because they can appreciate the content because it has pictures.

I think it's a good way of teaching student comic make us happy as an adult because its remind our childhood days comics I think it can help child reading knowledge at first reading some paragraphs in the textbook or big book is so boring unlike comics it may enhance the creativity of a child also those imagination things hahahah thanks.

I really vote for that idea, comic books are a good way to widen the vocabulary of a leaner.
School libraries should be ensure that comic books are available to leaner when they access the library.

Early ages of children are very crucial. It is the stage where children are still developing fully their motor skills, their creativity and thinking capability. So it is very helpful if children at this early age encounter activities to strengthen and develop every aspect of their mind and body. There are a lot of activities out there that help and boost children's over-all aspect. One of this is through comics. It enhances the creativity and imagination of children. It also enhances their reading capacity. Childrens do love things that catches their attention. They love drawings and colorful pictures which comics has in it. Children exposed with this kind of activities will surely grow well developed.

Comics are great help in teaching literature, history and especially foreign languages. Visualization can help children acquire content more quickly and with understanding. Being fun and colorful they help in attracting children's attention and in keeping them interested in the content they may otherwise find boring or uninteresting.

I think it's a great idea. I'm a big believer that you have to catch a child's interest when it comes to igniting a passion for reading. If comics can open that door to a love of reading, I think that's a really wonderful thing.

It's a great idea, children would understand the words that are written because it have pictures in it. Children's imagination would expand and their sense for art will be great. When I was in my 1st and 2nd grade at school, my teacher have a mini library in our room. And it brought happiness for us kids.

That's my point – comics make the reader happy which means there will be interest on the part of the readers particularly the young readers who have difficulty in reading. I have seen my nephews and nieces make big progress in reading the comics because they enjoy reading it which is opposite the feeling that they feel when they read the textbook. Maybe the educators should think about this issue for the young readers in school.
