All Ages Can music classes improve my voice?

Yes, definitely. I think voice lessons are very effective in improving one's singing voice because they teach you all the proper actions and breathing techniques to be able to voice out a good tune. Most of the singers in my country had also undergone voice lessons to further improve their singing abilities and this is what they also suggest to people who would also like to try out singing whether for passion or as a profession.

Music classes would definitely help improve your singing. The ideal would to get a music coach to help you out. More often then not we can't hear ourselves when we sing so finding a professional to improve our singing voice is a good idea.

YЕS. If yоur vоiсе tеасhеr is hаlf dесеnt hе/shе shоuld bе аblе tо wоrk with sоmеоnе оn аny lеvеl, prоvidеd thе studеnt is nоt bеttеr thаn thе tеасhеr, оbviоusly.

It will unless you have a hearing defect which will affect your right singing of the right tune or note of the song. Humayan voice is produced by his vocal chords and the singing of the right tune is too dependent on the hearing capability of the singer. So you have to check first if your hear the right tune or pitch of the song. If you do, you don't have much problem of developing a good tonal voice. It takes a vocalization or harnessing your voice until it reaches its good quality. By the way, you should be extra careful of drinking cold drinks for they would affect your voice.

I honestly had no idea that you could actually improve voice just through singing lessons.

Thanks I really love to sing but always had the most terrible voice. I hope that can improve over time.

My colleagues have recently developed a liking for videoke. At least once a month, we would go out, drink some booze, and sing. The only problem is that I have an awful voice. This makes me a little bit shy when singing. If I take up some music classes (voice lessons), will my voice improve?
Voice lessons would definitely help a lot if you would take them. I wasn't into singing when I was younger, I learned how to play the guitar before learning how to sing. Learning the guitar helped me a lot in terms of knowing the tune of the song I would be singing and a whole lot more. If you have the resources and you really want to take lessons, go for it!

Find а vоiсе tеасhеr. Аny vоiсе tеасhеr. Prеfеrаbly sоmеоnе with sоmе undеrstаnding оf physiоlоgy. аnd hоld thеm tо а high stаndаrd. If yоu dоn't fееl likе yоur mind is bеing blоwn in lеssоns, find sоmеоnе еlsе, bесаusе thеrе аrе а milliоn tеасhеrs аnd а fеw оf thеm (thе bеst оnеs) саn rеаlly сhаngе yоur lifе.

You'll see a bit of improvement if you actually learn proper techniques for singing. It's not so much about the actual singing as it is about learning vocal warm-ups and how to control your voice. Be wary videos teaching you how to sing because they are often inaccurate and can damage your voice. I recommend you to look up how the larynx works and how to open and restrict your vocal folds properly. You should understand the science of the voice and should be aware of what is happening when you sing. Practice makes perfect. I've been trying to teach myself to sing over the year, but I haven't had the best success. Honestly, though, if you don't want to make a career out of it and you enjoy it, then who cares. Just learn it for fun. I spent some time recording an album because why not? Music is very therapeutic, provides you with greater awareness, and teaches you to become introspective.

Yes surely you will improve, as you said earlier that you want to take a voice lesson, you can't go for a voice lesson without being taught basic and how to improve you voice and make you sing better. In a voice lesson class, they will also expose you to something more that you haven't discovered about yourself, you hidden music talent and what areas that suit your voice. I think you should give the lesson a try and you will not regret it.

The basic essence of any music class is to make one better in singing, paying instruments or other aspects of music. A good music class will definitely improve your voice.

I have never taken any music classes, but my opinion is: Yes, music classes can improve your voice. There you will learn proper techniques for singing. Maybe you will not become a music star, but you can definitely improve your singing. Everyone can. Practise is really important off course. I have noticed my singing has improved over the years because I sing almost everyday, for myself off course. I simply love to sing. Also I started playing a guitar few years ago, and that helped too. Singing and playing a musical instrument is great for improving your voice.

I have never tried any musical instruments or singing lesson. However, I do sometimes sing. When I was young, I was interested in music, I wanted to learn guitar and also enroll for singing lesson, however, I also had other priorities and never took music and singing classes. I believe music can help inprove your voice, whether you wnat to sign or give lecture.

Absolutely you made a point here, I believe music school is for learning so it will involve constant voice practices and development except a person has a problem that cannot make them sing, I don't see any reason why it should not help.

Singing is not only considered as a talent but also a skill. Skills can be learned by anyone with proper training or practice with a lot of hardwork for those who doesn't have the talent. The answer to your question is definitely a yes. It is a good sign though that you are aware of it so that means you have a space for improvement. Being open with your weaknesses is a great advantage on improving for the near future. I hope you will be able to achieve your goals in singing.

I would say yes to lessons. So important to understand that in life we are always learning. No matter what our age is we can always improve. it's when we become stagnant that nothing improves.

Having a vocal coach or teacher will definitely help in improving one's singing voice. They can teach you the right techniques and singing styles that complements your voice.

I also support your opinion on having a special vocal coach so that he can concentrate fully on you and put more efforts in seeing that you are learning, it will be more productive than attending a full time lesson.

For sure!! unless if you have a voice problem. But music class has a great plus to your voice. They will teach you the proper opening of mouth, the proper way of breathing while singing, the proper position. And they will also teach you the food that you must eat and the food that you must avoid to improve your singing voice. As far as I know a singer must avoid drinking cold drink and must avoid chocolates and nuts because it can make our throat rough.

Definitely! Voice classes will teach you the proper technique of singing - concepts like the breath control, larynx positions, voice support and projection, resonance, emotions... I could go on forever. I didn't know how to sing before, (although I am a bit musically inclined) until one of my friends invited me to join a local choir. The choir wasn't picky on accepting members, they believe everyone can be taught how to sing and so the most veteran members of the group give voice lessons to the newbies during rehearsals. My voice definitely improved, I even became known as one of the "singing" people among my friends. Singing is a skill that can be learned, it comes with practice, and it's best to learn the healthy technique through lessons.
