What type of art styles do you guys like? Any type you prefer to work in? Any that you particularly hate?

I'm a fan of the erotique grotesque nonsense style that mostly originated in Japan. It's ... not really for everyone, I will admit, and is probably something you shouldn't check if you've a weak stomach.

I tend not to get modern works. Things like Duchamp's toilet baffle me and I just don't see the point in them.
 
You're right when you say that particular style of art isn't for everyone. I find it interesting, but it's not something I would EVER want hanging in my home. :D That's the kind of stuff that you don't want to see, but you can't stop yourself. I am also not a huge fan of Dali type art. It sort of creeps me out, but again, it is interesting to look at.

I like impressionism and Japanese watercolors on silk. I love bronze work and ancient archeological art. There are just too many to name of the styles that I like.
