A slow afternoon in Shkodra, Albania

I had no idea that you were tweaking these photos after you take them...further demonstrating to me your ability to see things and make them more beautiful. You are a true artist and I feel lucky to be able to partake in what you have to offer. The flowers are an increibly aspect, but I don't...

    Sunset in Shiroka, Shkoder, Albania

As usual, DOnald, you hit this one out of the park. Oh to be as lucky as you to have been able to not only experience these beautiful moments in person, but to be able to capture them and immortalize them for all of us. Once again, this is a gorgeous shot. Thanks for sharing.

How cool is that? It looks like its snowing in summer. Those flowers are absolutely gorgeous and I can only imagine what it would be like to see it in person.

    Colourful only when united

That's a relief. For a second there, I thought I might have offended you. That is never my intention, here or anywhere else for that matter.

    Valley of Valbona, Albania

I think that you would be an incredible asset to any type of print marketing firm or tourist bureau as you deep love for your country shines through in every photograph you take. I know it kind of sucks putting a price on something that you are so passionate about, but if you could make a good...

    Drilon, Pogradec, Albania

I just can't get over how beautiful this particular image is. When I am frustrated or otherwise unpeaceful in my soul, this is the type of image I put into my mind to put myself back at ease and work through my problems. The water has always spoken to me...calms me and makes my mind serene.

    Walking while sun sets :)

LOL...that's great. I can't imagine living somewhere where you have to watch for random cows...or any other livestock for that matter...in the road. Ithink it's wonderful though that there is such a laid back, unrushed feel to all of your pictures.

    Tiny World

How cool is this?!? I love the fact that you have taken something so beautiful and shrunk it down into something that can be brought indoors. I would love to be able to do something like this. Bravo. It's beautiful. Thanks so much for the share.

    Welcome to Obsidian.

hey...just to let you know..I am a little late to this party, but I looked over your post and the images are really good. I love seeing the world through the eyes of someone else and I really feel as though you have an innate talent to show the world how to see things. Thanks so much for...

    A lonely bird?

I am not a professional photographer or image critic, but I feel the sentiment of the small, lonely bird against the vastness of the ocean...but I also see the strength of this little bird's character. He knows he is small and insignificant in his world, but he also seems to know that he has a...

    Walking while sun sets :)

WOW! This is incredible. The cow is priceless...is this a common occurence in Albania? Random cows walking down the street at sunset? All kidding aside, this photograph, like all the rest of your pictures, is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

    WaCom Tablets for Drawing

I have some experience with the DigiPro, but not the others. I guess it's where I am simply not well rehearsed in the techniques you need to be successful using a digital drawing medium, I have not had much success using any tablet for drawing. I would love to see what you can do on this device.

    Drilon, Pogradec, Albania

oh wow! This is beautiful. This is exactly the place I want to retire in. It's so peaceful. Albania is not a place that I have previously thought of as having such beautiful landscapes and towns, but now I know that what we see on TV isn't all that foriegn countries have to offer. Thanks...

    Teach Me How To Draw

This just goes to show that it isn't the software you are using, it's the talent of the artist that creates beautiful images. This is absolutely amazing. the only thing I can draw with any real skill is a heppy face. Thanks so much for sharing and I am looking forward to seeing more of your...

    memories.

I am so sorry that you experienced this, but even though you had to feel the pain of your love spurned, you have learned and grown from this experience. I don't feel as though loving someone is ever time wasted, even if things don't turn out the way we'd hoped. Loving someone allows you to...

    Valley of Valbona, Albania

Do you offer your photography services to the public professionally or is this something that you do as a hobby? I know you have a blog, but I didn't know if you had pitched your services to say, the local tourist services department...I don't think they could find a better photographer for...

    Colourful only when united

I think this is a nice picture. Please don't take my comments in the wrong way. I love your photography and was just mentioning what I thought might be some constructive feedback...I couldn't capture a tenth of what you do in your photographs.

A slow afternoon in Shkodra, Albania

I noticed that the sign in the background appears to have English as well as Albanian lettering...is this common in Albania? Are signs often presented in multiple languages? If so, I would think that this would make ALbania very tourist friendly. And...what is the white almost snow like...

    Ducks swimming in Shkodra lake

Is this a body of water near where you live or do you travel often for your work/photography? Is this something that you get to experience daily or do you have to search for these?

Forest road in winter, Montegiorgio, Italy

I can only imagine. I have truly enjoyed touring Albania through your photographs. I have never been there, but from what I see, if I ever get the chance to indulge in a little globe trotting, this is one place I would love to visit. Thanks again for sharing.
