I am deeply passionate about my role as a social work educator. My career in the helping professions has spanned almost 25 years. I practiced for more than 15 years in the human services, first as a licensed social worker in direct service roles and then in administrative capacities. Most recently, I had the pleasure of serving as the Volunteer Coordinator for the National Organization for Human Services.
I currently facilitate doctoral and master's level human service courses at the University of Arizona Global Campus and macro-focused social work courses in the online modality of Virginia Commonwealth University's MSW program. I teach undergraduate human services and social work courses at the University of Phoenix, where I began my teaching career in 2010. In 2020, I was recognized as one of the Faculty of the Year. In recognition of my contributions and dedication to the University's community, I was promoted to Senior Faculty in 2024.
