When we talk about religion as a matter of education, we usually refer to the religion that is considered as the main religion in the region where it is taught, but additionally there could be many more religions that are considered important in other countries, and in a similar way to the language It is also good to have basic knowledge of other religions.
For example, in my country we tend to teach about the Catholic religion, but little is taught about Buddhism, Hinduism or other major religions of other cultures. And in this increasingly glabalized world we sometimes interact with people from other cultures who may have deep respect for their religion and we sometimes do not even know what it is about.
Do you consider that the teaching of religion could at least include, in a referential way, the main aspects of other important religions in other countries?
