I've created an illustrated children's book app for children - Story Eggs.
The children can choose different paths throughout the story. It's a way of giving them agency, even during guided reading time. I've tested it out extensively with my own Grade 3 students, of varying reading ability..
According to this research paper, it argues that digital forms of Interactive Fiction (IF) hold the potential to help teachers and students attend more closely to the process of meaning-making. It also argues that IF's component parts – passages, choices and links – render it a useful resource for the scaffolding of classroom dialogue.
