Some of my works

I haven't really been doing much drawing lately! I blame it on a lack of inspiration. Most of these aren't particularly recent ... anyway, whenever I do draw lately it tends to either be gesture drawings or concept practice. Someday I'll get back into making things on a somewhat daily basis (I hope)!

Thanks! It's a digital piece, and I used Paint Tool SAI. It's a really nice program that runs a lot cheaper than some others. It can take some getting used to, though.

I'm interested to know what your inspiration was for your first piece. I'm a total dork who just finished watching the Dark Knight Rises, so I instantly thought of Robin standing in the Batcave after Batman returned. He's standing in the shadows of a legend but is given all the necessary tools to make his own path. I'm sure that wasn't your intent, but it's what came to mind!

Ahaha, I wish I had a more profound reason for making the first one. I like your slant on that! I seriously just started browsing for prompts that involved environments. The first thing on a list I found was to draw a mysterious cave or something so I ran with that.

Is the third one your dorm room? :)

I wish I had that snazzy of a dorm room. Or, you know, just that snazzy of a room in general. I actually made that as a backdrop for a project I'm involved in. I love designing rooms ... I probably should've gone into interior design, haha.

Wow I'm loving that first image! I'd imagine to see it somewhere on a billboard or advertisement for a new book or novel! Hope that you were aiming for that look! :) It gives off a nice feeling, of safety for some reason... However it also endorses the word ADVENTURE! HAHA Hope to see more posts coming of your works Polaroidsredwine :)

Ah, you flatter me too much! I swear it was really only a study piece! I'm glad you like it so much, though. Thanks a bunch.

Actually, if I remember correctly, I think along with the cave prompt I decided I wanted to focus on using blue as my primary color palette.

Your artworks are actually pretty awesome, specially the first image. I love the sense of mystery, and eccentricity that artwork is trying to convey to me. Keep that up! :)

Wow, I am very impressed, have you thought of making a story and drawing it out. There are a lot of people that interested in comics.

I liked the second one. It's a simple sketching structure, but it gives out the sense of effort and how much you work throughout the process. The first one was also a great painting. You absolutely nailed the depth of colors in that one.
