Poor prince Barehead or so he was called
For everyone-knew that he was bald
And no-matter now hard he tried
No bit of hair could be espied
Using creams to find a. cure
He only made his head quite sore
Everyone laughed and gave each other a dig
When the Prince appeared wearing his wig
And crying out in deep despair
"Does no-one know how to grow my hair"
Just then out from the laughing crowd
A lad came forth and politely bowed
"Sire I can grow your hair for pure
But it will take you months or more"
The Prince agreed he didn't care
As long as he could grow his hair
Loaded with books and bottles too
He told the Prince what he should do
First he scrubbed and scrubbed his head
And on his scalp he gently spread
Liniment that soared right through
It tingled and made his head sting too
But every day week after week
The same performance he did keep
Then one morning glancing in the mirror
He saw a sight that made him quiver
For on his noble head ne spied
A few tufts of hair he nearly cried
He just could1nt believe what he had seen
And thought that it must be a dream
But later as the months went past
He looked again into the glass
And where he'd seen the tufts before
A head 6ft hair had grown for sure
When combing his hair this time for real
A different person he began to feel
Then he sent for the lad who had come to his plight
He rewarded him well and made him his knight.
For everyone-knew that he was bald
And no-matter now hard he tried
No bit of hair could be espied
Using creams to find a. cure
He only made his head quite sore
Everyone laughed and gave each other a dig
