Mmemonics

Mnemonics are used by those who are learning a new language to help them remember new words. They can also be used by teachers to help their students remember important facts.

I believe that using something similar could help students retain more of what they are taught. That's why teachers should not use teaching aids and other resources sparingly regardless of the age group because it's some of these things that could boast retention of what is being learned and also spice up the lessons some more.

This reminds me of some classmates in high school who were cheating in exams. They would have small slips of paper in conspicuous places like the garter of the panty or at the hem of the skirt. The slip of paper contains mnemonics to help them remember. An example is the world history question about Alexander the Great and the mnemonic used was Axel. It is silly but I think it works for them because they have been doing that all the time there was an exam.
