Introduction/Overview
In this activity/game the students will practice their skills in multiplication Dice games are simple but are fun to play. Using dice to teach multiplication facts provides an excellent opportunity for the students to learn multiplication through a game.

What you need
Dice Let it roll: Multiplying whole numbers activity sheet. Calculator to Check their answer Multiplication Table Pen and Paper

Procedure

0 - 15 minutes The game will start with students randomly selecting numbers using a pair of dice. They will then use the drawn value and multiply it with a pre-determined number in the Activity sheet. Specifically multiples of 3's, 5's, and 7's. The student who gets the most correct answers will win. Steps: If real dice are not available, download and print the Dice template (I recommend cardboard) Cut the dice template. Download the Let it roll activity sheet. Ask the students to find a partner. Students roll a die to see who goes first. The student who rolls the highest number goes first. The student rolls the dice, writes down the numbers, and multiply them in the activity sheet. The partner checks the answer. They can use a calculator or the multiplication table. If the answer is correct, the student who rolled the dice receives 1 point. The students then switch roles. In the next stage of the game, they will roll the dice one after the other and write the number on the activity sheet. For example, 1st die "1" and 2nd die "6" so it means "16". The students will write down the number and then multiply that number with a predetermined value in the activity sheet. The student with the highest correct answer wins.
