Learning good manners at home

We call it GMRC for Good Manners and Right Conduct. It used to be a subject in grade school where we learned how to greet a person, how to give respect to the elders and how to behave in places that you go to. Now that the subject was removed in the curriculum then I guess that it is the parents who should be responsible for such need of the child.

Exactly. I suggest that parents should be given a curriculum of some sort. There are alot of gaps that they are supposed to fill. Parents should ne taught how to teach what the schools doesn't offer.

The current COVID19 pandemic has reminded parents harshly how important it is to keep track of their children's school work. They have been forced to be fulltime teachers.

I believe that a person's manner depends on how he/she is treated at home. Because if a kid is treated right, for sure that he/she will also treat others right. But if a kid is being bullied or being abused physically and mentally, for sure, when he/she grew up he/she will do it to his/her children. That is why teaching a kid a good manners at home is very important to build his/her personality. Everyone should be treated right and it is our responsibility to fight for the oppressed and fight the oppressors.

That is true. The upbringing of a child greatly matters.

Teachers and parents both have equal responsibilities when it comes to teaching manners to kids. We send out kids to school not just to learn maths and science, we also send them to become a good boy/girl. However, manners are best learned in home environment. If you want your kids to learn good manners, you need to show good manners. For instance, if you want your kid to be kind towards animals, you will have to show that behavior.
