Some students are visual learners. If the teacher introduces a new concept, they will grasp it better if it is demonstrated through a physical model or shown diagrams illustrating the content. I propose the integration of visual aids in class like charts, graphs, drawings and models for visual learners to be tagged along during lessons. Teaching ages are usually used as am afterthought but view form am integral part of the learning process.
 
Generally, I think students tend to grasp things faster if it's in visual form, so it's a bit easier for them to learn when it's in visual form. Our brains are mostly attracted to graphics rather than words. For example if you think of an apple, you'll think of the actual fruit of an apple, not the word 'apple'.
 
My husband is a visual learner as well. And although I love pictures, I'm more of a reading/writing type of learner. That being said, pictures are still great ways of learning about a topic. I think they work in any subject as well even with learning English. So in any case, a teacher should make sure that she provides all avenues for her students: visual, auditory, reading/writing and kinaesthetic. This way, the students have a well-rounded learning. And even if one student cannot learn a topic through one method, at least there are other methods to teach him or her.
