It’s so hard to get a scholarship.

When I go online I see a lot of posts and advertisements on scholarships, but I have not even seen anyone that actually got one. I have applied for a few ones myself, but I never got any feedback.

Is it that the number of applicants are too much, or the postings are all not true?

Most paid advertisements for scholarships are scams. Philanthropic organisations have other ways to get the word out than paying for it.
Much depends on where you are applying. In the US, for example, top tier doctoral programs are fully funded by research and teaching fellowships. In Canada, the major "scholarships" are grant programs run by the government.

This is a very big FACT!! I have actually given one of them a try and found out it was a big scam. Since then, I don't pay any attention to any of them when they pop up on my feeds.
