This has been a question I can't seem to get answers to. Employers now want to know whether you attended public or private school, as it can determine if you get the job or not.
Why does it actually matter?

The distinction between attending public or private school can be a topic of interest for some employers due to perceived differences in educational quality, resources, and networks associated with each type of institution. Private schools are often viewed as offering more personalized attention, smaller class sizes, specialized programs, and potentially stronger networks due to the socioeconomic status of their student bodies. In contrast, public schools are seen as providing a more diverse environment and potentially fostering adaptability and resilience in students. Employers may consider these factors when evaluating candidates, looking for attributes like critical thinking skills, work ethic, and adaptability that can be influenced by one's educational background. However, it's essential to note that this approach can perpetuate inequalities and biases.
