All Ages Is religion the cause of most wars?

Religion remains the exploitation of policy-makers in international conflicts, civil wars or political rivalries, without being the direct cause, even if many resort to it for propaganda and slogans aimed at raising the morale of soldiers and demonizing others.
 
Human greed is the reason behind every war that existed, either by using God's name, patriotism, counter terrorism and every other reason you can think of, there is always a transgression and a victim to that transgression, whatever might the name they use to label and to justify that war, the true reason will always be some greedy leader seeking more land, more glory, more and more, but always a selfish reason.
 
Religion has its place in human society. Without it, humans would have little morality and their value system would have gone to dogs eons ago. Actually, most laws including on the sanctity of life are based on religious convictions. However, we also need to acknowledge that religion has its downsides which includes giving rise to extremists and militants.
 
I don't think that religion is the cause of wars, but i do believe that some people are using religion in order to rule or in order to creat wars, humans would still fight for money even if there is no religion , if anthing , i believe that religion helps minimizing the amount of wars and hatred but the problem is that people judge religion and make it that reason of everything that humanity is going through, although the main reason is humans greed !
 
I actually don't believe in it. I always believe that the cause of these wars is the pride of people. This mortal sin makes every person that someone or something shouldn't be above them or that they don't want to be on the lower rank. It's so sad. But, it is really happening everywhere.
 
I think so that religion is the cause of most wars. In the Holy Bible you can read most of those wars. It is God himself who said that there is a time of peace and a time of war. The devil is also at war against the Almighty God.
 
For me, i think religion is to blame for the war that is happening in the world right now. because there is this one religion that is creating terror in the wprld right now though i dont want to mention it.
 
No, I don't believe that religion is the cause of major wars in the world. People with selfish motives hide behind religion and use it as an excuse to propagate their selfish agendas.
 
I don't believe that religion is the reason for most wars in the world. People who are greedy for power, fame and possessions are the reason why there are wars. They just used religion to deceive others that what they are doing is for the noble cause.
 
it's not the religion who push war but the people itself. Negative thinking, greediness, thirst of power etc. It's the human being who decide for conflicts not the religion. Religion is manage by people so at the end of the day human beings are still the culprit.
 
Religion for all intent and purpose is not to wage war. It is human greed that create chaos and disorder. It is the people who are using it as a means to demonize religion for one's own selfish gain.
 
Religion may be a driving force in conflict sometimes but it is never a cause of war, the cause of war is attributed to power acquisition and control, but when people really around religion to achieve massive support for their campaigns that's when religion plays a role, it doesn't actually start one.
