How to Play

Our games aren't just for classic D&D players, we're open to people who have never played D&D, role-play of fantasy before.

Online Role Play is simple really, create a character (you can play as yourself, or anyone or anything you wish).

Go to The Games Room and post a new thread to begin. I'll take it from there.

(Each adventure takes place in its own thread, you can create new adventures or join old ones at any time)

Creating a Character

Imagine the adventurer you wish to become!

Are you a valiant knight, a cunning rogue, or a mystical spellcaster? Let your imagination soar! Many online resources offer simplified character sheets to guide you, or you can ask me for ideas in our Character Development Forum.

I would recommend describing your character in your opening thread and including your first dice roll to gain your stats.

Rolling Dice

You can roll your own dice if you have any or use our online dice in 4 steps.

Step 1: Click Roll Dice


Step 2: For most rolls you will just click Roll and close this window.
If you wish you can roll multiple dice, i.e. you are holding 2 daggers or shooting multiple darts. You must roll all dice at least once.


Step 3: You cannot view your roll, until you submit your post. (no cheating now)


Step 4: View your roll and use the number of the relevant dice to progress your adventure...

You can adjust the difficulty from 0 (neutral) to 100 (hard) if you want more challenging outcomes.

Requesting a Dice Roll

This is your game, you can request a roll of the dice at any point to add random jeopardy.

Step 1 - Ask the game master if you can roll for an action you wish to do.

e.g. Can I roll to see if we arrive swiftly or encounter something on the way?

Roll the D100.

Step 2 - Edit the post where you requested the roll.


Step 3 - Click Throw Dice


Step 4 - Input the settings as requested by the games master. e.g. 1 roll of the D100 or 2 rolls of the D4


Step 5 - Tell the games master your result and see what happens...


That's it, your story continues...
