How should the educational system be changed?

Hello, guys! We all grink about the educational system, and most often we just say that it 'sucks'. But I think that such an abstract saying does not make any good. First, we have to define the problem and next, we make strategies in order to solve that problem. So, what do you think is the biggest problem in our educational system? Thank you for the replies!

I really believe in alternate models of education quite strongly. One of my favorite approaches is what might be termed "extra-curricular" or "out-of-classroom" learning. I would like to see more avenues opened for students to get academic credit for activities and exercises learned "in the field"

An example; a student spends x number of days in the semester working on a farm. The activities and work done would have to be structured and accounted for, but by working, say three weeks on a working farm there could be credit for; botany, biology, horticulture, environmental science, agricultural management, PE... and it doesn't have to be a farm, either (although the farm setting provides an excellent range of sciences to study up close) There would also be class-room work but directly related to what the students had witnessed first hand and experienced "hands-on"

what I am suggesting is actually practiced in certain "alternative" schools I have seen, and it is highly effective in a well-rounded curriculum as well as better engagement on the students' part. The kids really jump at the chance to get out of the classroom too.

The education system is definetly not what it used to be in the past anymore. Alot of morals is lost in the system For example in most education system God is now taken out.

For me, I think the biggest problem today in education is how to make out students that are well balanced-mentally, spiritually, emotionally, physically and financially. The curriculum today that are being taught at schools deals more with academic studies and information than it does with being able to attain the success that everyone aspires. It seems that today it takes a "success minded" person to be successful, but actually what we need is to teach people to set and meet their goals, to raise their standards, to be masters in emotion, relationships, finance and time management, besides attaining knowledge in there sought out profession.

Personally, in the study system of my country there's too much bureaucracy, there's no coordination nor effective implementation of administrative policies, which makes it hard for students to familiarize themselves with the procedures needed to guarantee and validate their education. It's all so dispersed, teachers and school departments work separately and the student has to constantly check individually with each entity to make sure he's proceeding as expected. I felt so lost when I started college...

My take on the current education system is the waste of time because we have to admit that a one year of schooling can be done in half the time – for 10 months of the school year calendar can be tapered to 5 months. That means education can be hastened and a college graduate at age 22 will have 2 degrees already instead of just one. The problem with the curriculum is that time is wasted so much. Take for instance the taking of attendance that takes at least 20 minutes. It is clearly a waste of time.

For me, I think the biggest problem in our education system is a lack of smart teachers. There are a lot of students and one teacher could not handle 40+ students. A teacher does not only teach but also act as a second parent, a therapist and a motivator. Also, teachers should not teach children to memorize useless facts which they would not use it in the future but enhance their critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills, which is what the real world needs.

I believe the education system should let students learn what they want to learn by creating a curriculum that makes them choose want they want to know and learn in the educational system because giving them the chance to let them be who they be it's giving them the opportunity to grow to who their suppose to be

The educational system nowadays are focused on standardization of students which teaches them the same materials and syllabus no matter the difference in their personalities, skills, and capabilities. This should be change to an education system that focuses on empowering the strength of each individual base on their own pace and guide them in order to find their true purpose. This way, everyone can utilize their talent and skills in a way no previously engaged.

Most likely we should focus on changing the education system by getting to know what the students talents and interest are nowadays in this generation instead of letting them learn things that they aren't really interested in which is just a huge waste of time. The education system should have faculties and teachers that are able to change the students that can help them become better versions of themselves in the future not only academically but also in other curricular activities which helps shape the student to become an professional individual who can build our economic development.

Hi,
In my own opinion, it depends. We are talking now generally or worldwide. Different culture, beliefs and strategy. We can set or suggest purely if we both know which side we are pertaining in order for us to tell what fields that needs an improvement. Some prepared the odds style the way they teaches their student and some religious schools do the same thing without the full guidance of the government. Public school based their teaching method on the strategy of their School Head. Generally they followed what is instructed.
In my opinion on how to improve educational system in every society is to train and educate more the Head of every school organization by the professional who is fully equipped not only by knowledge but also by experience which is familiar with the world changed such such electronics evolution, modern technology and etc. if the Head of every school organization is will trained, everything will follow.
The is my idea on how we are going to improve education system in every society.
Thank you.
