"Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who acquires discernment. To gain it is better than gaining silver, and having it as profit is better than having gold." (Proverbs 3:13, 14)
"The Kingdom of the heavens is like a treasure, hidden in the field, that a man found and hid; and because of his joy, he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field." (Matthew 13:44)
Many people only have a cursory knowledge of their religion or of the Bible. Most people are simply raised in their parents church and as adults continue the tradition but never really dig deep into the scriptures. Others, on the other hand, obsessively study the Bible, collect multiple translations, teach themselves how to translate the ancient tongues, or enroll in a college program centered around religion, or go to a school that is organized by the particular denomination they have always associated with.
Which one are you? Are you one that likes to dig deep? Read the Bible every day? Or are you agnostic, atheistic, or just a Christman and Easter Christian? Or even still, do you practice another non-Christian religion altogether?
