Hello. Nice to meet you!
I'm a 40 something year old chef and retired restaurant owner. I was once a technical writer and journalist but left that life a long time ago. Presently, I can be found in the northeastern area of the US, but frequent Florida, Taiwan and Brazil. I have recently begun working on some memoirs and writing poetry to vent emotionally. I joined this group because I find viewing the creative work of others very interesting and inspiring, and I hope to learn to express myself creatively as well.
I also like that there are a variety of forums here which address topics beyond what is generally considered art because I have interests in science (gemology) and politics.
