Procedure

Short Introduction As English Language speakers, we make use of describing words in order to further define a person or thing. We refer to these words as adjectives. This part of speech is widely used both in speaking and writing, and it helps us convey our meanings effectively. However, there are times wherein we want to be specific about the qualities, numbers and positions of the nouns in comparison to the others mentioned in the sentence. We want our message to be exact about how big or small, high or low, more or less, many or few, etc. This is where the understanding Degrees of Comparison applicable. In this activity, the learners will apply their knowledge of the Degrees of Comparison by answering the picture cued activity Steps: Prepare the materials you need for this activity. Read the sample words given. Recall the rules of Degrees of Comparison. (e.g. add -er to make it a comparative degree; add -est to make it a superlative degree) Write your answers on the space provided.
