Exploration (15-20 minutes)
This is the main part of your lesson, your students will be asked to answer 3 worksheets.
  • Before you start make sure that your students are paying attention.
  • Raise the activity sheets in front of your students and clearly explain the instructions.
  • You have to do the activities one after the other since they are developmental. (1a, 1b, and 1c respectively)
  • In the first 2 questions in 1b&c lot models are provided similar to the dot model above. You may want to model to the students to count using the dots of 3, 5 and 10.
Note for Teachers :
  • After each activity sheet is done, make sure you give appropriate feedback and discuss the answers.
  • You can make them used their whiteboards or tablets to discuss the answers.
